About 25 minute long playlist with various artists. The genre is house from the 90's and 2020.

With 5 artists. Underground music. Some of the records are included in a previous post, DJ rasoul (https://oraziodelcore.blogspot.com/2020/06/dj-rasoul-1999-large.html) and xosar.( https://oraziodelcore.blogspot.com/2020/06/3-house-records-taurus-xosar.html). HK is on a swedish record label called västkransen. These are cool records, and have a unique sound. I also included my record called fresstyle on vinyldubplate. I hope i dont give the impression of being an ego for including my song. The tempo was right when beatmatching with the other songs. Mixing music on analog vinyl is difficult, you can only use your ears, no software to help you sync the music.

Odd records - worth collecting?

Some records are intresting for a collector because of their uniqueness. There are still alot of cratediggers out there, seeing how many recordshops with 2nd hand records there are. I used to dig in the crates for records for about 20 years. Read my article on restarting my record collection made me a better dj. Found a box full of records that I forgot about there were sitting in storage. These were odd records, Lp's that Ive collected beacause they had vocals and effects on them. Because of their uniqueness Lets look closer: Sci-Fi - soundeffects . A record filled with EFX blips and space-ish sounds. Released on BBC records in 1981. Not your avarage synthrecord, but for the scifi nerd. It says on the back that its intended for radio and tv use. Could perhaps be for use for a dj so the level of uniqueness is 4/5. The age of television . This is something more listenable. It contains narration of the story of television. And recordings of historic tv broadcast such as the moonla

The Roland tr909

The Roland tr909. The classic drumcomputer that gave housemusic its sound. The distinct kick, cymbals and snares are heard on the majority of records in housemusic. From classic, to the latest future house releases. The tr909. A updated version of the tr808 analog drummer from 81. But this had a hybrid soundengine that also featured samples in the cymbalsection. They weren't soldout in the stores, instead they were often found below their standard price elsewhere. Dj's and producers started buying them for cheap, and with more records it was heard on the more popular it became. Electronic drumcomputers were common in the 80's, almost every genre had synthetic drums. The 808 was marketed as the future drummachine, the computer controlled sequencer with analog sound synthesis. So when the 909 came along the musicians quickly adopted it in their future sound palette. Its accent function boosts certain sounds in the steps from the sequencer wile the unaccented steps rema

using as few records as possible in your dj mix

Most of us wants to have a giant record collection, but when a gig is coming then you have to carry all the records to the show. This article is about using minimum amount of records in a dj mix. Lets say you play a 2 hour dj show. that means you need +- 50 records in a crate. If you only have 10 records, would you make it thru a dj mix then? If a housesong is aprox 6 min long and you want to make a 60 minute dj mix. then you'll need 10 records for the dj set. 10 records is not much for a mix. What you can do is mix in the b sides too, but then the same artist will appear again in the playlist. You can also play certain songs to the 3 minute point, then mix in another record and then a few song in the set you can reuse the previous song from the 3 minute point again, from a break of the song. Or play the best song first and last to extend it. Playing both the b-sides and reuse the same song as earlier will stretch the length of your mix. Buying an EP costs about the same as a 12&q
