Rick Wade Harmonie Park Revisited 2 12" Ep on vinyl

Picked up the EP, Rick Wade Harmonie Park Revisited 2. 4 tracks of detroit house. Featuring songs."Harsh thoughts" "Fade Away", "Prime Time" and "Forgotten Track".  It doesnt say from what year its from. This made me wondering if it were a  90's LP since of the classic sound of the record. But from looking on discogs  I found from what year, 2008. Definitly a classic sounding record. And since of the name revisited, The tracks are re-released tracks on the the label Harmonie Park records. The arrangement is minimalistic, Square waveform basses and steady drumrhythms. All in all a good spectra of sound to fill a dancefloor. My favorite track is Fade Away. If this is the second part, I want to hear the first part aswell. So up on the wishlist.  hear more of the artist

Cleaning your vinyl, how to

Recently when I finished recording a mixtape, all the records were completely covered in grease from fingers and dust. The records didnt sound perticulary good anymore, the cracles from the dust seemed to have taken over and were as high in volume as the music. I didnt have any special cleaning at home. So I first tried to just wipe off the grease with a cleaningcloth. This perhaps made the vinyl look clean, but most of the dust were still in the grooves. So I started to use a  moistered cloth and when that didnt do, I eventually progressed to clean the records with water. First with soap, but that didnt do much of a difference. So insteasd just water. This had some drawbacks however. The paperlabel on the records are made out of paper so when pooring water over the label can ruin it. Mine didnt get so much water on the label so I manage to dry it and the water stains isnt visable. Then its important to not poor to hot water over the record, because it can warp the record. Try using lu

Disco Elements -EP Vol 1 - (Azuli Records) 1992

Disco Elements -EP Vol 1 - (Azuli Records) 1992 Today we're looking at a vinyl release from 92. The first of the volumes for Disco Elements. This one has 5 tracks. Listening to the record, the production is very timeless. A classic sound on the production. Not the usual sounds that you hear in many records from 92. Its definitly more house than disco. Many of the qualities are inherented from the disco in the looped samples. This is heard in the electric basses in a walking style. Also vocal disco samples here and there. And what wouldent be a disco record if there werent any high pitched strings to complete the production. 2 of the 5 tracks really are the main songs that makes record. The rest is still great productions. But has a more typical 92 sound. Perhaps a little way from grabbing your attention like the 2 mentioned tracks that makes the record. Those are Running and what the papers said dub .  There are also soloing on the production and the sounds are often changed in t

Sony MDR v150, Audio Technica ATH-M20X and AKG K518DJ

Sony MDR v150, Audio Technica ATH-M20X and AKG K518DJ Looking for budget headphones? then go ahead and read this article. Ive compared 3 models. Sony MDR v150, Audio Technica ATH-M20X and AKG K518DJ  All ranging from 19Euros to 50 euros. The article looks at, sound, buildquality,  design price. First we have the Sony MDR v150 headphones. Those are priced at 19Euros. Ive seen them on the marcet since the 90s. They are superlight. adjustable headband and a approx 2 meters of cable. They are very midrangy in the sound. The bass response is low. They reminds of studio monitor where there is equal respone across the whole frequency. But I wouldnt use them as studio monitor headphone. If you are on a supertight budget and need a pair of headphones, then Ive rather get these as a pair then a generic or noname brand. soundquality 16 - 22 000 hz The midrangefrequency is dominant, there is presence from the bass, but also the upper frequences. The sound also has a boost in the upper frequencies.

Storage for your vinyl records

Lets look at some good storage for your vinyl. I found a couple of different options.  1. The ikea kallax bookshelf . This one is budget friendly. Its price is the lowest in the guide. at 499 kr or (49euro) Almost every(bigger) town has a Ikea. easy to assemble, minimal design. available in 7 colors. The dimensions are 77x147cm with 8 sections. They also show on their webpage the bookshelf horizontaly, with LP records stored in it with an recordplayer ontop. So the dimension will have room for the size of a LP record. The material is a blend of different papermaterials. Even if the weight is low it looks sturdy. 2. Zomo VS-box space Ive chosen this one, not strictly competeing with the ikea bookshelf. Instead a complete different variant.  Its tilted. Made out of MDF material. comes in different colors. It looks like it can hold about 50 LP records. The pricetag is 89 euros. So you get a variant that holds less records in expense of the special design. 3. Glorious - Turntable lowboard
